Welcome to the Baking Sweetly blog. For years, I have been baking and cooking for my friends and family members. I have always found comfort in the act of cooking and baking in the kitchen. I enjoy making others feel happy through baked goods and a home-cooked meal. I love experimenting in the kitchen and I have found there is so much more to a recipe than just instructions. A recipe is my inspiration for new ideas and a new combination. It helps me create an inspired, delicious dish or sweet treat. This blog is a way for me to share my ideas and recipes with others. It is a collection of my food history to keep track of all the wonderful foods I create. Many of the recipes are adapted or records of other blogs I follow. I founded Baking Sweetly with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind.

For me, baking goes beyond just creating something tasty to eat. It is my meditation and a way I can ignore the stresses of the day to connect with my loved ones. The experience and memories I make every time I bake are more than the physical action, it is emotional for me, it is my inner zen. We all spend hours and hours of the day staring at a computer screen and connected to electronics. My time in the kitchen is where I can separate from life and focus on myself and my family. I think it is important to think about the food you are eating and how your body digests and processes those ingredients. Food is our energy source for our body and we often forget to take care of ourselves. I cook and bake to be happy and healthy in all parts of my life.
