Breakfast-inspired smoothies ...

Smoothies are an easy morning breakfast that you can make when you need something filling and on the go. This smoothie is filled with my favorite flavors, strawberry, oranges, and bananas. It is a classic smoothie combination that never tastes bad.

I have been exploring different breakfast dishes because I always find myself in a rush in the morning. I like making smoothies because they can be made fast and are so satisfying. They also can be prepared in advance so if you are really in a rush in the morning you can have a smoothie ready to go in the fridge.

I do love smoothies for breakfast but I also enjoy eating them during the day for lunch or after a good workout. They can be very filling and filled with nutrients. I will share soon some of my protein-packed and very filling smoothies I drink after my workouts. They are so delicious!

A few tips:

  • Storage - you can make any smoothie in advance and leave it in the fridge. It will last 1 day in the fridge. You make have to give the mixture a good stir the next day but it will still taste delicious!

  • Preparation - a fun tip is you can prep a smoothie mixture in the freezer so you can have ready-to-make smoothie bags. You can add all the fruit in one bag and freeze it. When you are ready to make a smoothie, all you need to do is add it to a blender with some milk and you are ready to go!

  • Milk - you can easily substitute smoothies for any milk alternative. My two favorite kinds of milk to use are almond milk and soy milk.

  • Protein Powder - I like to use whey protein powder that is vanilla flavored. It is pretty mild in flavor so it doesn't change up the taste of my smoothies. Any mild-flavored protein powder will work in this smoothie.

  • Fruit - I highly recommend using some frozen fruit in a smoothie because it makes for a thicker smoothie. You can use all frozen fruit or partial. If you have no frozen fruit you can add extra ice to thicken up the smoothie.
